Bathroom Renovation

Nothing beats getting a new bathroom and Fiona and Matt got me in to complete their transformation and project manage the job from start to finish.

Client

Fiona and Matt in Papakura, Auckland

Challenge

Renovate an essential room for the family.

Materials used

Waterproof Gib, Califont, Bath tub, Shower Unit, Vanity Unit, Waterproof Vinyl Flooring

It wasn’t just a redo of what was there, we removed the old inbuilt shower and adjoining hot water cupboard and made these into a big hallway cupboard. Then removed what gib and wall linings that were necessary for the plumber and electrician to do their thing (including hooking up the new outdoor califont).

Once all the pipes and wires were in, I got to work installing the bath/shower unit. I relined the walls and cupboard and installed a big set of double doors for complete cupboard access. Then it was a week of plastering and painting before I installed the new vanity and the trades could get back in to fit it all off. We finished the job with a wood floor looking vinyl.

This job is a great example of a cost-effective bathroom renovation.

With the finishinings done just right it makes it look a million bucks but the price was nowhere near it.
