Working with artists or developing art from materials we don’t usually associate with art is fun and at times complicated. The artist has a vision and to work with them to use my skills to bring it to life is very rewarding.
The River stones were for Jane Mason, a local artist, and went to a Hotel Lobby in Hong Kong I believe after they were painted and are displayed along a curved wall built on site.
The Toki are a concept I developed to utilize a CNC router to create a repeatable product, in this case a desk mounted gift for a client. Using CNC means being able to do runs of these at anytime as all the designs are computer based, with the click of a button the machine will make them the same every time.
